Laundry Helper

Responsibilities

• Launder all Dining Services’ uniforms and linen
• Perform light maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Clean dryer vents
• Report equipment problems to supervisor
• Interact appropriately with customers and answer student questions politely
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist the department

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• Reading skills for using chemicals to remove stains and spots
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and reach frequently
• Ability to lift 20-30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs. frequently
• Must be at least 18 years of age
