Laundry Attendant/Sewing Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry procedures including receiving, sorting, washing, drying, folding, or hanging items
• Operate sewing machines and attachments to repair uniforms, draperies, curtains, and linens
• Mends, fits, tailors, and irons various textiles to maintain quality standards
• Verify soiled laundry counts against receipts and report discrepancies to the Laundry Group Leader
• Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition
• Add appropriate detergents and laundry products to washing machines

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of sewing experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work a standard day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability
