Launch System Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the launch segment including dispenser/separation system requirements and packaging/shipping
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for launch with customers and launch providers
• Coordinate and conduct test campaigns for space vehicles and launch-related hardware
• Write and execute assembly, integration, and test procedures
• Collaborate with design and tooling engineers to develop assembly and checkout tooling
• Ensure launch integration activities meet all requirements and milestones

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with payload or launch integration
• Experience with large structure and electrical assembly
• Experience with SSCMAN 91-710 Compliance and MSPSP
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for launch site support
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as lifts and overhead cranes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with requirement tools like JAMA and Valispace
• Experience with spacecraft propellant systems
• Experience with MGSE for structures handling
• Experience with space vehicle separation systems
• Familiarity with GEVS and/or SMC-S-16 testing requirements
