About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between production and engineering to lead manufacturing changes and support vehicle launch activities
  • Support Virtual Engineering activity by representing production concerns and confirming repeatability
  • Own and drive build readiness and the resolution of build issues
  • Manage trial runs, engineering tryouts, engineering work orders, and other launch process requirements
  • Initiate and complete SQS, SOS, and JES requirements
  • Support and execute all elements of Operation Readiness for General Assembly
  • Train, coach, and support the production team in all aspects of the build process
  • Coordinate resolutions for plant-initiated Design Issue Trackers (DITs) with engineering centers
  • Participate actively in the Launch Team and attend daily build wrap-up meetings

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or a related environment
  • Ability to work onsite in Concord, NC, on a full-time basis (shift is four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday)
  • U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or eligibility for required export control authorization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HD SUV production builds
  • Knowledge of or experience with GVDP
  • Experience using Teamcenter Visualization or similar software
