Launch Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the key on-site interface for customers during prototype and launch phases
• Ensure smooth product integration into production by identifying, tracking, and resolving build issues
• Analyze vehicle specifications and maintain the harness by vehicle build matrix
• Plan engineering, quality, and rework support for the build phase
• Support vehicle builds, diagnostics of electrical function issues, and EDS package design
• Interface with logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure part delivery and resolve vehicle manufacturing issues
• Investigate and create EDS design proposals to resolve vehicle-level build issues
• Represent Yazaki at customer launch sites and participate in product design reviews

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical-Electronics Engineering
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring harness drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic system functions and diagnostics
• Experience working with or designing vehicle electrical systems
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
