Launch Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, integrate, and install electrical and control systems for high-quality casting production
• Manage the entire vehicle development lifecycle, including requirements definition, systems design, and testing
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage multiple complex projects with high autonomy and accountability
• Support the business team in the Business Plan Deployment (BPD) process
• Coach and mentor others on control-related issues using a hands-on approach
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of design and implementation

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of technical knowledge in electrical and control systems within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with PLC systems (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
• Experience with Robot/CNC systems (Fanuc Robotics, Siemens CNC, or Fanuc CNC)
• Experience in PLC and HMI programming, including Ethernet and/or DeviceNet networks
• Strong knowledge of servo motors, motion control, and drives
• Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
• Ability to work 3rd shifts and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience/training
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) such as Allen Bradley or Siemens
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of high voltage power distribution
