Laser Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Build small electrical sub-assemblies following precise work instructions
• Perform optic assembly processes including epoxy application, UV curing, and oven curing
• Execute fiber optic splicing and fiber routing
• Operate and troubleshoot complex automated equipment
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and track calibration schedules
• Work in a clean room environment adhering to strict cleanliness protocols
• Perform test setups to support various test regimes
• Manage schedule priorities to meet company deliverables

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of hands-on work experience
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
• Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends
• Ability to stand, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical, precision, or high-volume manufacturing
• Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience setting up and running tests and experiments
• Associate degree
• Ability to read and interpret layout drawings, mechanical drawings, schematics, and parts lists
