About the Company

Fuse is on a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to fusion energy. Our core product is TITAN: an Impedance Matched Marx Generator (IMG). TITAN is the most efficient and powerful (TW) machine of its kind.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop laser systems that generate short-duration, high-energy pulses of light
• Develop and test laser components, including the laser cavity, mirrors, and amplifiers
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate laser systems
• Conduct R&D activities to explore new technologies for improving high-energy laser systems
• Plan and oversee the manufacturing, installation, and operation of laser systems
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards
• Perform cost analysis and create project timelines
• Write technical reports and present design concepts and testing results to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master's, or PhD in optics, optoelectronics, laser physics, electrical engineering, photonics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in High Energy Laser design, analysis, and testing
• 2+ years of experience with laser amplification techniques
• 2+ years of experience with laser modeling and simulation software
• Ability to travel to Montreal occasionally
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual)
