Large Corrective Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy rigging operations to facilitate the replacement of major wind turbine components including blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, and hubs
• Monitor machine operation by watching gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper functionality
• Review and strictly follow all work instructions and technical manuals
• Comply with all company and government safety regulations and guidelines
• Complete all required company training within specified timeframes
• Travel domestically as required, typically for 4-6 weeks at a time

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, preferably in major component exchange
• Ability to climb and work at heights of 300 feet or more
• Heavy rigging experience and the ability to signal and rig loads up to 100 tons
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no suspensions or major violations)
• Ability to travel domestically approximately 90% of the time
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and on rotation shift schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
• Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Technical school background
