Large Corrective Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy rigging operations to facilitate the replacement of major wind turbine components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, and hubs
• Monitor machine operation by watching gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper functionality
• Review and strictly follow all work instructions and technical manuals
• Comply with all company and government safety regulations and guidelines
• Complete all required company training within the specified timeframes
• Travel domestically as required, typically for 4-6 weeks at a time

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (technical school background preferred)
• At least 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, preferably in major component exchange
• Ability to climb and work at heights of 300 feet or more
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and proof of insurance
• Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
• Familiarity with heavy rigging and mechanical tools
• Full English language proficiency
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and manage repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Proficiency in operating digital technology including laptops, tablets, and digital cameras
