About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced middle school students
- Actively involve students in small-group, student-led learning environments
- Manage classroom dynamics for groups of up to 16 students
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback on tests
- Build positive relationships with students and their families
- Foster critical thinking and a lifelong love for learning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Ability to commute to the Millburn/Short Hills, NJ campus for in-person instruction
- Availability to teach during weekday evenings (as early as 4pm) or on weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a humanities field
- Previous classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level
