Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, or grammar, K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred, Tutoring experience preferred, Availability for weekday evenings and weekends
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced K-12 students
- Lead small-group classes (up to 16 students) in an in-person setting
- Actively involve students in student-led learning and critical thinking exercises
- Manage classroom dynamics and provide grading and feedback on assignments
- Build positive relationships with students and families to support their educational journey
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required (degree in education or humanities strongly preferred)
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Availability to teach during weekday evenings (as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
- Ability to commute to our Gaithersburg, MD campus
Preferred Qualifications
- K-12 classroom teaching experience
- Experience in tutoring students
