Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, or grammar, K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred, Tutoring experience preferred, Availability for weekday evenings and weekends

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced K-12 students
  • Lead small-group classes (up to 16 students) in an in-person setting
  • Actively involve students in student-led learning and critical thinking exercises
  • Manage classroom dynamics and provide grading and feedback on assignments
  • Build positive relationships with students and families to support their educational journey

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required (degree in education or humanities strongly preferred)
  • Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
  • Availability to teach during weekday evenings (as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
  • Ability to commute to our Gaithersburg, MD campus

Preferred Qualifications

  • K-12 classroom teaching experience
  • Experience in tutoring students
