About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced K-12 students
  • Facilitate student-led learning and actively involve students in every class
  • Manage classroom dynamics for groups of up to 16 students
  • Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback on tests
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and their families
  • Inspire critical thinking and a lifelong love for language arts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (degree in education or humanities strongly preferred)
  • Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
  • Proven experience teaching or tutoring students
  • Availability to work weekday evenings (starting as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
  • Ability to work onsite at our Redmond, WA campus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level
