About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced K-12 students
- Facilitate student-led learning and actively involve students in every class
- Manage classroom dynamics for groups of up to 16 students
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback on tests
- Build meaningful relationships with students and their families
- Inspire critical thinking and a lifelong love for language arts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (degree in education or humanities strongly preferred)
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring students
- Availability to work weekday evenings (starting as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
- Ability to work onsite at our Redmond, WA campus
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level
