Bachelor's degree, Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, or grammar, K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred, Tutoring experience preferred, Availability for weekday evenings and weekends
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced K-12 students
- Lead small classroom settings of up to 16 students using company-created materials
- Actively involve students in student-led learning and critical thinking exercises
- Manage classroom dynamics and provide constructive feedback on tests and assignments
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families to support their educational journey
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (degree in Education or Humanities strongly preferred)
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Availability to teach during weekday evenings (starting as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
- Must be located in the San Diego, CA area or able to commute to the campus
- Legal authorization to work in the US (sponsorship is not available)
Preferred Qualifications
- K-12 classroom teaching experience
- Experience in tutoring students
