About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum designed for advanced K-12 students
- Lead small, student-led classes of up to 16 students to encourage critical thinking
- Manage classroom dynamics and provide constructive feedback on student work and tests
- Build meaningful relationships with students and their families
- Foster a love for learning and deep engagement with reading, writing, and grammar
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Experience teaching or tutoring students
- Availability to work weekday evenings (starting as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
- Ability to commute to our Sugar Land, TX campus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a humanities field
- Previous classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level
