About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging language arts curriculum using company-created materials designed for advanced K-12 students
- Facilitate student-led learning by actively involving students in each class
- Manage classroom dynamics for groups of up to 16 students
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback on tests
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families to support their educational journey
- Encourage critical thinking and a lifelong love for learning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred)
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Experience teaching or tutoring students
- Availability to teach during weekday evenings (starting as early as 4:00 PM) and/or on weekends
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week for each assigned class
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level
