Landscape Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform standard landscape maintenance including trimming, cutting, and watering grass and flowers
• Maintain soft landscaping through aerating, weeding, cultivating, and fertilizing
• Operate various landscape and snow removal equipment such as tractors, skid steers, chainsaws, and sod cutters
• Execute snow and ice removal tasks during winter months
• Assist with cleaning details including the removal of graffiti and abandoned items
• Maintain landscape irrigation and other related systems
• Load and unload equipment and perform simple vehicle adjustments

Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three years of related landscape experience
• Possession of a valid Provincial Class G driver's license
• Physical ability to perform demanding manual labor and outdoor duties
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and varying hours
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
