Landscape Inspector

Responsibilities

• Ensure all soft and hard landscaping construction works are performed in strict accordance with plans and specifications
• Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for designed landscape work and provide practical advice on constructional matters
• Maintain a detailed daily diary of work activities, including issues, approvals, rejections, labor, and equipment used
• Coordinate with the Contractor’s foreman to ensure proper execution of work and interface with the public to mitigate construction impacts
• Coordinate with Materials Technicians for sampling, testing, and quality assurance of materials and completed work
• Report questionable contractor methods, failures to conform to specifications, or safety concerns to the Resident Engineer
• Process joint measurement forms and maintain accurate records for interim/final payments and as-built plans
• Enforce performance of work in strict accordance with the approved Safety Plan

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Landscape or Agriculture Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience in landscaping and irrigation (softscape preferred); fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
• Ability to read and interpret working drawings and technical specifications
• Full computer literacy for maintaining records and generating reports
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with project teams
