Landscape Architecture Practice Lead

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and grow the landscape architecture practice within the Charlotte market
• Align practice vision and strategy with broader Planning + Design service line goals
• Manage practice health including backlog, revenue, utilization, and profitability
• Drive business development by generating new client relationships and expanding existing accounts
• Strengthen market presence through industry engagement and professional organizations
• Lead proposal and pursuit efforts in partnership with marketing
• Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
• Plan for future talent needs and succession strategies
• Guide design direction and quality across the practice
• Partner across service lines to deliver integrated multidisciplinary solutions
• Provide oversight on complex project work to ensure client satisfaction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape architecture or planning
• RLA licensure required
• Demonstrated leadership experience in team performance and financial management
• Extensive experience in private land development design projects
• Proven track record in business development and client acquisition
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
