Landscape Architect (Horticulture)

Responsibilities

• Direct research and experiments to identify land use problems, suitable plant varieties, and nursery operation techniques
• Provide guidance on planning and developing community projects and quality landscaping designs
• Develop training programs for staff on latest agricultural and horticultural technologies
• Study soil characteristics and develop improved measurement and conservation methods
• Design work programs for Gardening, Landscaping, and Nursery personnel
• Coordinate and implement Integrated Pest Management programs to control pests in landscaped areas

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Landscaping, or equivalent
• 8 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, or agriculture
• At least 5 years of experience specifically in horticulture, gardening, or plantations
• Experience in directing research for plant varieties and pest management
• Ability to design work programs and review staff performance
