About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the beauty of the ACU landscape and grounds within assigned zones
- Work collaboratively as a team to complete landscaping tasks and assist other trades as needed
- Monitor and maintain water quality and mechanical parts of university fountains
- Follow established rules, policies, and procedures of the Landscape and Grounds Department
- Order necessary materials and supplies to complete work orders
- Complete daily written reports and work orders accurately
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure longevity and safety
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 5 years of hands-on landscape experience, OR an Associate degree in Horticulture
- Proficiency with various hand and power tools
- Knowledge of water quality and fountain/pool maintenance
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Ability to lift, carry, and pull loads in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders
