Land Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Produce and verify cut sheets
• Oversee and coordinate initial layout at job sites and provide continuous monitoring
• Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation
• Check as-built conditions using surveying techniques
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities
• Supervise Surveying Technician and Surveying Trainee personnel
• Interpret drawings and specifications for physical layout at job sites

Requirements

• Minimum HS Diploma
• Minimum five years of previous related experience
• Proficiency with Trimble GPS equipment, Trimble machine control, and Trimble total station setup
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to build surfaces for GPS equipment
• Thorough understanding of surveying practices and equipment use
• Strong mathematical skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel to job sites
