About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the land subject matter expert on cross-functional teams
- Act as lead negotiator for leasing projects associated with business plans
- Negotiate and draft various oil and gas agreements, including leases, pooling agreements, and JOAs
- Perform title curative work and issue title clearances for rig lines
- Provide work direction to field land brokers and outside legal counsel
- Compile, analyze, and communicate land data and concepts to stakeholders
- Make risk-based business recommendations and articulate value tradeoffs
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related industry experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills with experience resolving difficult situations
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build internal and external relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Quorum Land Systems (QLS)
- Degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Energy Commerce, or Business
- Advanced degree in Law (J.D.) or an MBA
