About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of land referencing, land access, landowner engagement, and statutory processes.
- Identify landowners, occupiers, and interested parties through research and interpretation of land registry information.
- Liaise with landowners, land agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, and clients.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams to secure land access for surveys via agreements or statutory mechanisms.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues and perform technical assurance on team outputs.
- Manage commercial awareness, including budgets, scope, change control, and project data security risks.
- Represent the business in client-facing activities at a Land Consultant level.
Requirements
- Proven experience in land referencing, landowner engagement, or statutory processes.
- Experience working effectively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills for stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Teams) and basic knowledge of GIS/mapping tools.
- Ability to travel to various sites across the UK and Ireland.
- Ability to delegate tasks and undertake technical assurance of colleagues' work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of UK statutory consents (e.g., DCOs, CPOs, TWAs, or Hybrid Bills).
- Experience with wayleave agreements.
- Strong understanding of land ownership and management practices.
- Project management experience within infrastructure projects.
