Land Agent

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex negotiations with landowners regarding land acquisition and rights
• Manage the settlement of damage claims related to construction activities
• Search courthouse and public records to determine property ownership and interests
• Establish fair market values for the acquisition of land and land rights
• Draft and supervise documents including easements, licenses, leases, and permits
• Ensure compliance with all corporate health and safety policies

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum 3 years of Right of Way (ROW) experience; transmission project experience preferred
• Notary public status or the ability to obtain it within 30 days
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel regionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, and ArcGIS
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Active real estate license
• IRWA membership
