Land Acquisition Real Estate Specialist

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with landowners to acquire right of way for transmission facilities and fee owned land
• Perform title searches and title curative work to identify property interests
• Interpret engineering and survey drawings to write accurate legal descriptions
• Conduct field checks for project requests and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Maintain strong relationships with Transmission Project Management, Line Services, and probate office personnel
• Support storm restoration efforts as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Alabama driver's license
• Ability to obtain a State of Alabama at Large Notary Public Appointment
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering sketches, property documents, and legal descriptions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous experience in land or land rights acquisition
• Experience negotiating land, contracts, or other large assets
