Land Acquisition Real Estate Specialist

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with landowners to acquire right of way for transmission facilities and fee owned land
• Perform title searches and title curative work to ensure legally defendable land rights
• Interpret engineering and survey drawings to write accurate legal descriptions
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with landowners, probate office personnel, and internal project teams
• Manage multiple real estate projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Perform field checks for project requests and support storm restoration efforts as assigned
• Maintain detailed records and manage workload via information management software

Requirements

• Valid Alabama driver's license
• Ability to obtain a State of Alabama at Large Notary Public Appointment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering sketches, property documents, and legal descriptions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous experience in land or land rights acquisition
• Experience negotiating land, contracts, or other large assets
