About the role
Responsibilities
- Cut scrap steel plates or products to precise sizes using oxygen/gas lances or plasma cutters
- Use high-pressure air lances to remove slag, scale, and debris from steel surfaces
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and readiness
- Maintain and troubleshoot cutting and lancing tools and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
Requirements
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to work a rotating schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oxygen/Gas Torch
