Labs, Systems & Simulation Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and technical activities in Lab Operations, Systems Engineering, and Simulation Engineering
• Oversee the planning, execution, and success of complex projects, including test scope execution and system troubleshooting
• Develop technical strategies to evolve test capability hardware, software, and architecture
• Mentor and coach engineers to support career development and knowledge transfer
• Drive operational improvements by streamlining processes and implementing meaningful performance metrics
• Manage long-range planning, including resource forecasting and proposal development efforts
• Ensure test execution adheres to established procedures and high-quality safety standards

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• 5+ years of experience in project management and/or integration
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role (e.g., manager, team lead, or project manager)
• 2+ years of experience with financial acumen and applying financial metrics
• 2+ years of experience communicating effectively across multiple organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in test environments or applying Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs)
• Experience with military platforms, avionics systems, or Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as MSOSA or Cameo
• 3+ years of experience in ADA, C, or Python software development
