Labourer/Sample Preparer

Responsibilities

• Perform bench sample preparation tasks including cutting, crushing, grinding, and splitting samples
• Operate basic sample preparation equipment such as saws, crushers, and mills safely
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures when handling samples and equipment
• Maintain accurate records through precise labelling, logging, and preparing control samples
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the work area
• Execute repetitive physical tasks consistently to meet client requirements

Requirements

• Hands-on labouring background
• Practical mechanical aptitude
• Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual handling tasks
• Strong literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
• Ability to work shift work (day or afternoon shifts) as required
• Good communication, organisational, and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
