Laborer/Truck Driver-General Services

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks and moderately complex construction/maintenance equipment
• Perform plowing, snow removal, and salt/sand application during winter
• Assist with traffic control at road construction sites
• Perform road and right-of-way repair including patching potholes and digging
• Assist with repairing drainage, sewer, and water systems
• Fabricate, erect, and repair street and traffic signs
• Paint road markings such as crosswalks and stop bars
• Perform regular maintenance on equipment (oil, fluids, tires)
• Conduct grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, and pruning
• Maintain playing fields and recreational equipment
• Maintain cemeteries including grave layout and repair
• Supervise co-workers and seasonal employees as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months of experience as a laborer or truck driver
• Valid New Hampshire Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B)
• Air brake endorsement
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work in various weather conditions
• Availability for overtime as required
