Laborer/Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely and proficiently operate various types of equipment including loaders, dozers, trucks, and backhoes
• Perform general labor and non-mechanical duties such as screen installation
• Follow plant lockout procedures and maintain PPE and assigned tool kits
• Ensure work areas are safe, free of debris, and that all guards are in place
• Report dust emissions, fluid spills, leaks, and any unsafe conditions or accidents immediately
• Assist plant personnel with production needs as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a laborer
• Experience handling mini equipment such as telehandlers or backhoes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a steel mill
