Laborer

Responsibilities

• Maintain landfill grounds through mowing, trimming, landscaping, and litter collection
• Support facility appearance via painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Build and maintain fences and erosion-control features
• Operate various vehicles and equipment including backhoes, street sweepers, and fuel trucks
• Direct customers and haulers to appropriate disposal areas to ensure safe traffic flow
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist mechanics with repairs
• Support odor control efforts and apply Alternate Daily Cover (ADC) as needed
• Maintain facility infrastructure including sidewalks, roadways, and restrooms

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance, groundskeeping, or facility upkeep
• Experience operating light, medium, or heavy equipment
