Laborer

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite labor activities including unloading cement from railcars and loading it into trucks for distribution
• Utilize computer software to process paperwork such as invoices, bills of lading, and weight tickets
• Communicate with railroads, truck drivers, customers, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries
• Position and block vehicles or rail cars using a track mobile
• Operate equipment including forklifts, conveyors, and pneumatic systems
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of terminal equipment, including valves, augers, and air compressors
• Perform general housekeeping and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe work environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to use a personal computer and required software programs
• Strong mechanical ability
• Physical ability to carry up to 45 pounds and lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cement and ready-mix operations
• Experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift or Track Mobile training
• Safety training or OSHA certification
