Laborer

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cement from trucks and railcars for efficient distribution
• Maintain, repair, and replace terminal machinery and equipment, including valves, augers, and air compressors
• Utilize computer software to process paperwork such as invoices, bills of lading, and weight tickets
• Position and block vehicles or railcars using a track mobile
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and track mobiles
• Perform welding and use cutting torches for equipment maintenance
• Monitor pressure gauges, collect cement samples, and track inventory
• Maintain a safe working environment and perform general housekeeping and grounds maintenance

Requirements

• 1-year college or technical certificate
• 3-6 years of related experience in product distribution and customer relations
• Knowledge of cement and ready-mix operations
• Track Mobile training and OSHA safety training
• Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills
