About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist project personnel with hand excavation and digging using shovels or picks
- Follow equipment operators to clear earth, plants, and debris
- Help with pipe fusion by operating equipment under supervision
- Operate dump trucks to haul waste from excavations and drilling
- Assist with drilling equipment setup and material handling
- Install metal stakes and retaining materials on hillsides
- Enter excavations and confined spaces to install gas, leachate, or condensate piping
- Repair leachate and condensate lines
- Operate power saws, drills, and hand tools
- Remove, clean, and install LFG gas system liquid pumps
- Replace or install sumps for gas system wellheads or leachate systems
Requirements
- 6+ months experience in mechanical systems operation or pipeline construction
- Ability to work outdoors and travel for jobs
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to climb ladders and work from man lifts
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
