Laborer

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, wear required PPE, and report any equipment or safety concerns
• Perform physical tasks including trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, and sweeping
• Support facility maintenance through concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping
• Assist with equipment maintenance by lubricating and oiling machinery
• Support maintenance teams and respond to callouts as needed
• Attend required meetings and training sessions to support plant operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 4 years of general plant experience or 6 years of cement plant experience
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read diagrams
• Proficiency in control systems and computer applications
• Strong mathematical ability related to production measurements
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor in various weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise)
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently
