Laborer

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, wear required PPE, and report any equipment or safety concerns immediately
• Perform physical tasks including trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, sweeping, and general cleanup
• Support facility maintenance through concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping
• Assist with equipment maintenance by lubricating and oiling machinery
• Support maintenance teams and respond to callouts as needed
• Attend required meetings and training sessions to support plant operations and outages

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 4 years of general plant experience or 6 years of cement plant experience
• Proficiency in control systems and computer applications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read diagrams
• Mathematical ability related to production measurements
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50lbs frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
