Laboratory & Validation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform qualification and revalidation activities on analytical and process equipment throughout the site.
• Develop validation test protocols, document results, and summarize testing data.
• Ensure equipment and processes comply with SOPs, GMP/USP guidelines, and FDA, USDA, and EU regulatory requirements.
• Execute and technically review laboratory equipment calibration and performance data.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain schedules and manage outside vendor installation and testing.
• Troubleshoot and facilitate repairs for existing laboratory and process equipment.
• Assist with equipment change controls and site investigational efforts.
• Interface with data systems including Valgenesis, Trackwise, SAP, and Empower.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering, science, or a closely related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 3-5 years of relevant bio-pharma process and validation experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, and USDA regulations.
• Proficiency in writing and executing validation protocols.
• Experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, and UV/Vis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years in an analytical testing laboratory performing wet chemistry or instrumentation testing.
• Experience with the Empower data acquisition system.
• Experience with bio-pharmaceutical equipment such as autoclaves, fermenters, bioreactors, or incubators.
• Proficiency with calibration tools like Kaye Validator and Valprobes.
