Laboratory Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve technical and non-technical training programs, including eLearning and workshops.
• Oversee the competency assessment program to ensure timely documentation and follow-up for all laboratory staff.
• Manage a robust tracking system within MediaLab to assign, record, and monitor training and competency assessments.
• Deliver direct training and lead "train-the-trainer" initiatives to ensure standardization across sites.
• Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards regarding training status to management.
• Collaborate with site leaders to ensure personnel remain compliant with organizational requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), or equivalent experience in a technical laboratory capacity.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a veterinary or human clinical laboratory.
• At least 3 years of direct bench experience.
• Extensive experience developing and delivering training and competency assessments for laboratory professionals.
• Proficiency with training and competency tracking systems (LMS); experience with MediaLab is highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of laboratory operations, instrumentation, and quality systems.
• Ability to work 100% onsite at the Reference Lab and travel regionally up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

• MT/MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience covering multiple clinical laboratory specialties such as Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, or Histology.
