Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Safely retrieve, prepare, and test samples including soil, rock, aggregate, and concrete
• Undertake routine laboratory testing in line with relevant standards and ISO 17025 requirements
• Operate and assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Support logistics including sample handling, storage, shipping, and disposal
• Work collaboratively with engineers, scientists, and laboratory teams to meet project deadlines
• Maintain accurate records, including timesheets and expenses
• Participate in site visits and project-specific rosters as required
• Actively contribute to a strong health, safety, and environmental culture

Requirements

• 2+ years of previous experience as a Laboratory Technician
• Completed high school mathematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Valid Australian driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a White Card and undertake first aid training
• Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques
