Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological, physicochemical, and sensory analyses on raw materials, packaging, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Collect and prepare samples, reagents, culture media, and solutions according to established methodologies.
• Execute laboratory tests to evaluate the capability of new raw materials and implement new methodologies.
• Maintain laboratory equipment through regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.
• Manage laboratory inventory, including chemical reagents, culture media, and office supplies, using procurement systems.
• Develop and review Quality Control procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) within SAP PLM.
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace following 5S methodology and safety standards.
• Issue technical reports, analysis certificates, and manage product release or blocking processes.
• Support internal and external audits and participate in continuous improvement studies or Kaizen events.

Requirements

• Proven experience in microbiological, physicochemical, and sensory analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Proficiency with SAP PLM or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
• Experience with equipment calibration and laboratory maintenance.
• Familiarity with 5S methodology and workplace organization.
• Ability to manage controlled chemical reagents and follow safety (SHE) protocols.
