Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform equipment tests and test setups for clients
• Build or adapt test equipment based on engineering instructions and data sheets
• Examine test samples and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Follow defined test plans and record/explain results in comprehensive test reports
• Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment
• Communicate with customers and technical staff regarding test methods and results
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment design and processes

Requirements

• Higher Secondary Education
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers
• Proven ability to be innovative and creative

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of related laboratory experience
