Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform equipment tests and test setups for clients
• Build or adapt test equipment based on engineering instructions and data sheets
• Examine test samples and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets to evaluate sample operation
• Record, explain, and report test results through completed test reports
• Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment
• Communicate with customers and technical staff regarding test methods and results
• Suggest improvements for equipment, processes, and forms to increase efficiency

Requirements

• Higher Secondary Education
• 3 years of related experience preferred
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to be innovative and creative in a laboratory setting
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment
