About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine sample preparation including sorting, drying, crushing, and pulverizing
  • Conduct fire assay, sample digestion with acids, and sample dilutions
  • Log samples accurately into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Calibrate and set up laboratory equipment prior to analysis
  • Prepare standards and reagents
  • Maintain accurate work order documentation and equipment logs
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies, including proper waste disposal
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and laboratory supplies

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a Science related program (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science)
  • Strong analytical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (2 weeks on/2 weeks off, Days and Nights)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
