Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory analysis and hands-on bench work
• Complete all applicable laboratory reports
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas
• Adhere to all laboratory safety, reporting techniques, and internal standards
• Stay current with all laboratory analysis methods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a routine, repetitive, fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret oral, written, diagram, and electronic instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a science discipline
• 1-year experience working in a laboratory setting
• Previous experience in crude oil assay distillation per ASTM D2892 and ASTM D5236
• Proficiency in ASTM D4052, D5002, D97, D5853, UOP 163, and D4294
