About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory analysis and hands-on bench work
- Complete all applicable laboratory reports
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas
- Adhere to all laboratory safety, reporting techniques, and internal standards
- Stay current with all laboratory analysis methods
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a routine, repetitive, fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret oral, written, diagram, and electronic instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in a science discipline
- 1-year experience working in a laboratory setting
- Previous experience in crude oil assay distillation per ASTM D2892 and ASTM D5236
- Proficiency in ASTM D4052, D5002, D97, D5853, UOP 163, and D4294
