Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Prepare representative subsamples using methods such as crushing, pulverizing, and riffle splitting
• Weigh and digest samples for analysis using relevant equipment
• Receive, sort, log, and label client samples in the database
• Maintain laboratory reports and archive or dispose of samples per procedure
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks on equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure proper use of PPE
• Perform general laboratory upkeep and housekeeping

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid and current Driver’s license
• Ability to obtain 24-hour MSHA certificate
• Ability to work fixed hour day shifts and occasional overtime
