Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor programs to ensure accuracy of Soil and Concrete laboratory results
• Develop, standardize, evaluate, and modify procedures, techniques, and tests for sample analysis
• Manage material inventory and order replacements as needed
• Organize and clean the laboratory and manage waste disposal
• Prepare equipment and manage maintenance and calibration controls
• Collect and analyze samples
• Record and examine experimental results
• Communicate results to the supervisor in writing
• Identify laboratory hazards and evaluate risks

Requirements

• Laboratory technician degree in soils and concrete or related field
• 3 years of experience in Soils and Concrete within the mining industry
• 5 years of total experience in mining
• Valid license for nuclear densimeter use
• Must reside in Arequipa
