Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Collect and perform physical and microbiological sampling and testing of raw ingredients, packaging, and finished dairy products
• Monitor production areas to inspect product quality and ensure compliance with established specifications
• Identify, document, and communicate any out-of-specification analytical test results following notification protocols
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and prepare various stock solutions
• Perform environmental control swabbing and maintain accurate QC records and data entry
• Support internal and external audits, mock recalls, and consumer complaint investigations
• Prepare and process production records to isolate non-conforming or on-hold products

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree with a concentration in Food or Dairy Science preferred
• Experience with food quality specifications, physical/analytical testing, and process control monitoring
• Working knowledge of food manufacturing standards including SQF, HACCP, and GMP
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office products
• Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs intermittently and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
• Ability to pass and maintain required state regulatory licensing and certifications
