Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the plant and participate in the HACCP program
• Collect samples of ingredients, raw materials, production lines, and finished products as required
• Follow the Laboratory Quality Program and contribute to its implementation
• Perform ingredient, packaging, or product quality control holds when necessary
• Contribute to proper laboratory cleaning and housekeeping tasks
• Perform raw and finished product testing to ensure quality control within the dairy manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in a related discipline
• One year of experience in microbiology and Quality Control
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Availability for weekend shift work (26 hours per week guaranteed)
